This Teenager’s Fiat 850 Sport Restoration is a True Love Story
Remember your first car? You probably do. The truth is that unless you got really lucky with wealthy and rewarding parents, your first set of wheels was most likely a hand-me-down or a very conscious, safety and value-driven purchase.
Allow me to introduce you to, Loïc Maschi, and his Fiat 850 Sport love story as filmed by our friends at Petrolicious. According to Loïc, he fell in love with cars at the young age of 6 months when he was given a toy car as a baby, but it wasn’t until the age of 16 when he began his driver’s education process that he really zeroed in on vintage cars, and his passion simply took off from there.
It’d be silly for me to narrate the entire video considering how well documented Loïc’s journey is, but it’s worth mentioning that despite dealing with a few nightmares to get his Fiat 850 Sport to look the way it does now, Loïc still says that he wouldn’t have it any other way, and would never really consider driving a modern vehicle. Oh, and did I mention he’s only 19? That means he embarked through the journey to restore a vintage Fiat 850 Sport with little help from others as a sixteen, seventeen and eighteen year old. I mean, seriously, most teenagers I know are more worried about Snapchatting than anything else.
As Loïc says, vintage cars allow you to feel their soul, and that’s why he intends to keep his Fiat 850 Sport as long as he possibly can.
