Just because the Bugatti Veyron now has a bigger, badder brother that doesn’t mean it’s going anywhere. It’s still one of the most powerful and fastest vehicles of all time, and can still annihilate plenty of supercars without even breaking a sweat. Thus, you still see plenty of head-to-head matchups with the French legend now, and probably going forward. Like in the video below, where the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is pitted up against a Koenigsegg Agera R on an oval track.

The Grand Sport Vitesse is the fastest roadster in the world. It has an 8-liter, quad-turbocharged W16 that can make 1,200 horsepower and 1,100 lb-ft of torque. At peak performance, it can go 0-62 in 2.6 seconds and lists a quarter-mile time of 10-seconds flat.

The Agera R, which was made between 2011 and 2014, uses a 5.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 that is capable of 1,140 horsepower and 885 lb-ft max torque. The R also had some records in its day. Robert Serwanski drove the car from 0-200 mph in 17.68 seconds and from 0-200-0 in only 24.96 seconds.

Naturally, it’s quite the delight seeing them play together on a track. Watch below:

And because we believe in bonus time, here is an extensive video with the same Bugatti and a Nissan GTR A12, as well:
