Not everyone understands just how deep the level of respect goes that we auto enthusiasts have for exotics, supercars, and other automotive marvels that give us goosebumps just from inhaling the exhaust fumes whenever they speed by us. However, it is quite evident by the quality of work that these artists in the Team Speed forums do understand that depth, because it is echoed in their finely detailed artwork and images. And we always enjoy spending hours in the forums welcoming the opportunity to be entertained by a fun and interesting distraction. We also like to share our memorable forum finds with you, too.
Team Speed forum member “Atomic80,” whose known offline as Jason Tang, is a talented automotive photographer who shared another side of his photo skills in a post titled “Automic80 Photography,” which features a number of color and black and white nature, cityscape, and portrait shots that are simply awesome.
The Team Speed forums have always been filled with fascinating, compelling, and practical user-generated content created by auto enthusiasts from all over the world discussing beautiful supercars as well as other topics that we enthusiasts enjoy talking about. Art, photography, sports…you can find those topics in the forums as well. In fact, one of the Team Speed forum sections is dedicated specifically to photography and art, and it is one of our favorite areas to visit because the work in there is truly amazing, such as the shots featured above by Jason Tang. And when this amazing artwork is humbly shared by the artists who have created it, it really shows another side of our fellow enthusiasts that we really appreciate and respect.
Because the original artwork found in our forums is really great and inspiring, we are sharing a couple of our favorite threads now because we realize that many of us are looking for uplifting and inspiring things to focus on that are different from the headlines on the nightly news. And these threads really do the trick, and the artistry runs the gamut from beautiful marker illustrations to finely detailed high-art photo portraits of supercars that will make you appreciate these vehicles even more. So, check them out and then show us your hidden talent in the forums!
Claey’s Jelle Automotive Artwork
“I draw cars for myself but I also do a lot of work on demand,” says forum member “AutomotiveArtwork,” whose colorful illustrations are museum-worthy depictions that look almost as impressive as the real automobiles.
Johan Lee Shoots Cars
“I am a freelance automotive photographer and here is some work I have done,” says longtime forum member “Johan” (Lee), who has a keen sensibility for bringing out the most dynamic looks of famous supercars. “Some of them might be familiar if you are BMW fans. I hope you enjoy my photos.” We certainly do!
Fresh Pepper. Yandell. (Photographer / Videographer)
If you don’t know Pepper yet, get ready to be wowed, and then wowed a second time. In his post about his auto photography, Pepper Yandell refers to himself as an “automotive commercial photographer, videographer, and marketing consultant.” We simply refer to Pepper as “badass.” See, Pepper not only creates spectacular automotive photo art but he also challenged himself with conquering an additional art goal: aerial photography. Adding the dynamic of capturing a flying vehicle as a fine-art portrait is pretty cool, and you know you have to be on top of your game to pull off something this exciting. And Pepper proves that he has mastered this niche too by posting a second thread that focuses on just his awesome aerial photography.
