Recap: The 70th Miami International Boat Show

It’s that time of year again when all the major boat-builders converge upon south Miami and cram as much fiberglass as they possibly can into the Miami Beach Convention Center. The 70th International Boat Show showcased once again the best of the boating industry, featuring thousands of the newest boats, plus marine gear and accessories for sale.

From hundreds of boat debuts and thousands of cutting-edge technologies on display, to appearances from local and national celebrities, and on-the-water action, the 70th annual show provided each visitor an opportunity to discover the fun of the boating lifestyle. Our personal favorite addition to the show is Thunder Boat Row, where on display were the show’s fastest and sleekest powerboats boats from Cigarette Racing Team, Nor-Tech, Marine Technology, Velocity, GTMM, Skater and Outerlimits Powerboats.

In keeping up with the times the show released a smartphone version of the show’s site, m.miamiboatshow.com, where folks can download a web-app to keep up to date on all the Miami Boat Show’s displays and events.
