Mercury Racing and Cigarette Team Up on a Powerful Pair for miami show

The Cigarette Racing Team display at the Miami International Boat Show, Booth B-23, will highlight two eye-catching, power-packed models—a new 42’ Huntress with five (5) Mercury Racing 350’s and a newly-powered 38’ Top Gun 90 MPH with a set of hot-off-the-factory floor Mercury Racing 565’s.

Cigarette proudly displays the first Mercury Racing-approved installation of five outboards–an over-the-top signature of this stellar new model that was created as a “one-off” model, with a series of specifications done only for this new boat. “Why are there 5 motors?” people might ask, “Because we couldn’t fit six!” says Skip Braver, Cigarette’s President and CEO. The other 42’ Huntress model at the show sports four Mercury Verado 300’s, a likewise impressive show of power!

The inward-opening side door is heavily engineered with a strong hinge and handle built into the gunnel to facilitate entry to the boat and water. A recessed ladder disappears into a hatch in the teak floor, giving the big walk-around boat a yacht-like feel. On the port side, a door leads to the cabin below—another new feature of this model, which is equipped with a customized, sound-perfected Cigarette Pure by JL Audio system, worked cleverly and discretely into the cockpit and cabin finishes.

The newly designed lounge seating shows the Huntress’ affinity for creature comforts–an example of The Cigarette Difference. A specially engineered electro-hydraulic mechanism draws a bench seat into a luxuriously and ergonomically upholstered lounge and is incorporated into the aft seating—both transom and helm. To the port side, front, is another new ergonomic, stationery front lounge. The seat is sculpted to comfortably support bent knees to prevent sliding while in motion. A wet-bar, including a refrigerator and storage provides additional comfort and convenience features for the sunbathers onboard.
