Dubai Shop Aims to Become World's Most Famous Supercar Dealer

Deals on Wheels recently sold a LaFerrari for $3 mil, and it still has a $1.7 mil McLaren P1 and $1.9 mil Enzo waiting to find new homes.

Sometimes a name can be misleading. You probably wouldn’t expect a place called Joe’s Diner to serve world-class steaks. So when you hear the name “Deals on Wheels,” you might picture a buy-here-pay-here lot somewhere down by the airport. In this case, you’d be wrong.

In an interesting video profile by The Irish Sun, the outlet profiles one of Dubai’s fastest-growing supercar dealerships in the Middle East. And again, after catching an eyeful of a McLaren tachometer and Ferrari 488 GTB in the first few seconds of the video, the name Deals on Wheels strikes us as a bit of a head-scratcher. But after meeting the shop’s owner, 36-year-old Mohamed Redha Abdulla, it’s clear that he has a passion for some of the finest cars ever built.

“I remember back in the days when I was growing up, I always had a passion for luxury and sports cars,” he says. Abdulla has spent the past 11 years building Deals on Wheels into a gleaming chrome and marble mecca for supercars – albeit one with a massive graffiti mural in it. “The idea behind Deals on Wheels was to offer our clients a selection of sports and luxury cars.” It looks pretty clear to us that he’s succeeded.

When asked for his future plans, Abdulla says: “My vision is to have one day the world’s most famous supercar dealership.” With stock that includes McLarens, Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Corvettes, Ferraris, Porsche 911s, a Ferrari Enzo, and a Porsche 918 Spyder, it looks like he already has the right ingredients to do it. Plus, being in Dubai doesn’t hurt. The desert oasis is home to some of the richest people in the world – and some of the biggest gearheads. Of his hometown, he says: “It’s always about having the tallest, the biggest, the most expensive, and that’s where Deals on Wheels actually enters.”

All told, Deals on Wheels’ current inventory is valued at around $45 million. Considering that they stock around 100 cars at a time, there probably aren’t many low-budget deals to be found here. But if you’re in the market for a Bugatti, they’re the best-selling dealer in the region. If those are two plebian for you, Abdulla recently sold a LaFerrari (for $3 million), and a Koenigsegg Agera. He still has a $1.7 million McLaren P1, the 918 ($1.4 million), and the Enzo ($1.9 million). And they’re all waiting to find new homes.

So, the name Deals on Wheels may be a misnomer. But Abdulla clearly loves his work. He waxes poetic about his love of the way supercars look and feel. Then, he casually drops the fact that he can drive any one of these cars whenever he wants. If that isn’t the good life, we don’t know what is.
