Bugatti Test Mules Caught on Video
Auto Bild TV recently posted a video featuring a pair of Bugatti test mules traveling in a caravan on public roads. We’re 99.99% certain that these two camouflaged cars are prototypes for the Chiron, the successor to the legendary Veyron.
The Bugatti Chiron will supposedly use the same quad-turbocharged W16 found in the Veyron, but with power amped up to 1,500 horsepower and over 1,100 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s speculation that the Chiron will adopt an electric-assisted powertrain to reach those staggering performance figures, joining the ranks of the LaFerrari, P1 and 918.
Bugatti is definitely looking to push the boundaries of engineering and reclaim the hypercar throne with the debut of the Chiron next year.
