Jan. 26 event at Petersen Auto Museum features exclusive VIP panel that will be on hand to discuss Ford v Ferrari.

The Petersen Automotive Museum will be hosting Petersen Founding Chairman Bruce Meyer’s All-American Cruise-In on January 26 in Los Angeles with additional special events honoring racing, the great Carroll Shelby, as well as a discussion on Ford v Ferrari.

On the last Sunday of every month the Petersen hosts a cruise-in. However, this month’s event is a little different, and definitely special. The emphasis is on American muscle, and will feature some of the hottest sports cars, muscle cars, and hot rods from the red, white, and blue.

Attendees should expect to see scores of classic rides, high-performance cars, and custom creations. And Mustang fans will be thrilled at the large gathering of original Cobras, Shelby vehicles, and more. While all American cars are welcome, special parking is (rightfully) reserved for Shelby vehicles.

“Each month, our breakfast club cruise-ins gather enthusiasts from every corner of Los Angeles for a morning of conversation, laughter and some truly amazing cars,” said Petersen Executive Director Terry L. Karges. “Bruce Meyer’s American Car Cruise-in will deliver all that and more with the addition of a special panel discussion about ‘Ford v Ferrari’ and the early days of Shelby American. We can’t wait to welcome our VIP guests and spectators for this one-of-a-kind event.”

Following the cruise-in, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Meyer. The expert panel will feature several Shelby American VIPs who will discuss the film Ford v Ferrari, its portrayal of the true, crazy, and inspiring events that put Ford in a new league with the team’s unprecedented victory at Le Mans.

Baime, writer of the book “Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans” which inspired the film.

Bruce Meyer’s All-American Cruise-In begins at 9 a.m. on Jan. 26, and the awards and auction will take place at 9:50 a.m., with the panel beginning at 10 a.m.
