This BMW V10 Powered Lotus Is Psychotic

BMW’s V10 motor is perhaps one of the coolest, best sounding motors ever fit into a production car. The naturally aspirated engine sounds as if someone from BMW took their Formula 1 racecar’s engine and stuck it into a 5 Series. It’s a manic machine that sets the bar on all other super-sedans. However, today we’re not here to talk about the M5. We’re here to just talk about its engine.

The V10 out of the M5 made 507 horsepower from the factory, more than enough power to push along its bulky body. But what happens when you cut the weight by almost 300 percent? You get a psychotic, knife-wielding slasher of a car, that’s what. What we have here is a Lotus Exige with an M5 V10 engine, a Porsche Boxster S gearbox, and some sick brakes to make the entire thing stop on a dime.

Right now, the Lotus Franken-car is still in the works, but from the video below, it’s looks absolutely psychotic and we want one. Badly.
