Awesome Ferrari-Themed Race Hauler Needs a New Home

Get your Ferrari to and from the track in style with this 49′ combination race hauler and motorhome.

What if there was a website like Craigslist that catered to people like us? What if they only sold race cars, parts, trucks, trailers, tools, and the occasional fun street car? Well, we have good news — it exists, and it’s called Racing Junk.

Racing Junk, like Craigslist, is a simplified classified ad site, focusing on the motorsports community. Today, we’re sharing with you an awesome Ferrari-themed race hauler we found there. It would go perfectly with your Ferrari 488 Challenge race car.

The hauler is built off of a 2007 Peterbilt. Instead of hauling trailers filled with merchandise, livestock, or produce, it’s now a high-luxury motorhome with space for a Ferrari race car.

Why do we keep mentioning Ferrari by name? This is a Peterbilt, after all. Well, if the bright red paint didn’t clue you in, the interior details listed in the ad will. The floors of this most opulent race hauler feature granite tile floors with an inlaid Ferrari pattern.

Other interior details include cherry cabinets and a bar, leather look walls, and a custom hammered copper sink. There’s a bedroom on board, as well as a slide-out with theater-style seating. Clearly, this is more than just a race hauler — this is a high-end motorhome with on-board car storage.

Sadly, no photos of the interior are included, so we’ll just have to use our imagination, as well as the rest of the description. In addition to the luxury amenities on board, this race hauler also features some useful equipment for loading and unloading your race car.

There’s a custom winch that allows for one to load and unload a car by themselves in the 20′ garage area. There is also a clever ramp system that allows even the lowest of face cars to be loaded and unloaded without removing the nose of the car.

The ad also states that the truck received a new caterpillar C6 diesel engine in 2014, as well as a host of other mechanical updates that should make it a reliable workhorse for years to come.

Of course, such opulence and utility doesn’t come cheap. However, for your average Ferrari owner, the $229,999 asking price isn’t too out of line.
