Buy Your Own Stable of 18 Never-Driven Porsche 911 GT3s for 2.9M
Likely to be destined for race track fleet duty, these identical GT3s now offer a unique opportunity for the right buyer.
While not nearly as important as the discovery of the Terracotta Army, the unearthing of 18 completely unused 2015 Porsche GT3s in the Netherlands sure is just as exciting. To us, at least. Unlike the Terracotta Army, which were all unique, these GT3s are all built to exactly the same spec.
The similar spec gives some clues as to what the fate should have been for these Porsches, and why they remained mysteriously un-driven. Standard brake discs instead of the upgraded carbon ceramic, a partial roll-cage and 6-point harnesses all point to the possibility of these cars being used for fleet services at a race track. However, the trail of clues runs cold when trying to find out which track would use them.
Do you have to buy all 18 at once? Of course not! The seller indicates they are willing to let them go individually, just in case the ~$2,900,000 price tag for the whole lot was a bit tough to swallow.
What would you do with all 18? If you wanted to drive all of them, you could trade them out every 21 days, or, if you wanted to fight off depreciation, you could still drive 18,000 miles per year and only put 1,000 miles on each car. Better yet, you could invite 17 of your friends for a track day battle to see who’s the fastest. The possibilities are limitless.
