J.D. Power vehicle dependability study: Porsche ranked number 1

Stuttgart. The vehicles produced by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, continue to meet the highest quality standards in the USA, which is the company's largest export market. This conclusion was drawn from the results of the most recent public opinion survey, the "Vehicle Dependability Study", conducted by the US market research company J.D. Power and announced yesterday. The study ranked Porsche number one. More than 52,000 responses from original owners were evaluated for the study.

In the prestigious brand survey, original owners of 3-year-old cars were surveyed with regard to dependability within the last twelve months. Michael Macht, Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, stated, "We are very pleased to be ranked number one with regard to dependability in the renowned J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study. This ranking is due to our consistent high-quality work and customer orientation, and is a testament to the hard work of Porsche's employees over the last few years. This award shows that our sustainability strategy is paying off. The challenge is not about achieving a high quality standard for the short term, but to assure such quality over a period of many years. The fact that we received this award reflects the satisfaction of Porsche customers with the quality of the used vehicle – and we are very proud of that."

You know, that's really funny.

To date, of all the new BMW, Audi, and Porsche I have owned, the GT2 and the Turbo are the only two cars that have ever stranded me.

The GT2 stranded me with its stupid ass design of exposed clutch line that was damaged by some road debris with fluid slowly leaking out, so right before the 110 offram, I clutched in, downshifted, and the @#$#$% clutch pedal stayed stuck to the floor, just beautiful.

And the Turbo? Complete loss of power at the 405 offram to my office because the fuel line inside the tank popped off.

Now, I never had trim issues with the Porsche whereas the BMW's I always had problems with something falling off in the interior. But Porsche were the only cars that stranded me.
