DRIVE FOR SIGHT 2011
Supporting the Foundation Fighting Blindness
Sunday, July 10th @ 2:30 - Meet at Jacks Grill 5842 111 st.
As you may know, our 7 year old son, Erick, is blind and has been since birth. He was born with a rare inherited retinal condition called Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). Until recently, there was no hope for a cure.
There is currently groundbreaking research being conducted in Canada with primary financial funding coming from The Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB).
The FFB is an incredible national organization whose purpose is to raise awareness and provide financial support for research in fighting vision loss. Your generous support will have immediate and meaningful impact on children like Erick and others like him.
Drive for Sight is an entertaining charity event providing car enthusiasts with a great afternoon of driving and an enjoyable dinner with friends, while supporting the incredible retinal research currently underway at universities and hospitals across our country. A cure for childhood blindness is just around the corner.
We look forward to seeing you at the second annual Drive For Sight charity event on Sunday July 10, 2011. RSVP today as we only have room for 30 teams (driver and navigator).
Participation Fee: $500 - covers both driver & navigator. A tax receipt will be e-mailed immediately upon registration. Food, wine and prizes will be provided at Jack's Grill after the drive.

Erick, my 7 year old son, qualifies as a finalist in the North American Braille challenge. With over 800 entrants, the top 60 (only 2 Canadians) are headed to LA this weekend for the finals.

Thanks guys. He's totally convinced he's going to win. They have planned a great couple of days for the kids. It should prove to be very fun.
