Supporting the Foundation Fighting Blindness

The first annual Drive For Sight charity event is officially a go! Drive for Sight is charity event for car enthusiasts in support of the incredible retinal research currently underway at Canadian universities and hospitals across our country.

The Foundation Fighting Blindness is a Canadian health charity that was founded in 1974 by a small group of families’ intent on finding a cure for the disease robbing their children of sight. At that time, retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration and other retinal dystrophies were thought to be incurable. Undaunted, these families enlisted the support of Canada’s leading medical scientists and set to work collecting money for vision research. From these humble beginnings, The Foundation Fighting Blindness has grown to become the leading private supporter of retina research in Canada.

A cure for children with genetically inherited blindness is just around the corner.

 

I had to change the date of Drive For Sight to July 11th. (The prior date, June 20th is father's day ) Hope this doesn't inconvenience any one.

 

How long's the drive gonna be Mike? I might have my kids on the 11th, so I might be limited in my availability. But I'll be there for at least a part of it either way.

Erick is looking fine in that picture. Already making new friends :-)

 

The Drive will probably be between 4:00 - 5:30. You'll have to be there for the food and prizes at Jack's afterwords. Let me know if you need sitter.
