LARTE presented its Mercedes-GL-based tuning star, Black Crystal.
The car is called Black Crystal irrespective of its paintwork because of the two dark crystals, inserted in the martial front bumper. As an option, the white Black Crystal even comes with additional Swarovski crystals, shaped like skulls. They are probably unique in the car tuning market. Incidentally, a former coal pit is quite the right setting for a jewelry-stone-adorned car. After all, even a diamond consists of nothing but carbon.
The closed pit’s huge structures and facilities are still utterly fascinating and this setting is thus perfect for the 5.12m long Black Crystal. The LARTE-designed front bumper is of a brilliant “crystalline” ornamentation and aggressive geometry: prongs, edges, boomerang-shaped elements, exposed carbon inserts and a number of air inlets all together leave a very bold impression. The tail, with its air inlets and the diffuser-look element in contrasting black, is also extremely sporty. But the highlight are the matt-black carbon-lined tailpipes, the “spearhead” of a Remus exhaust gas damper making a lot of noise. Visually corresponding carbon trims also adorn the adjacent ventilation outlets of the rear wheel wells. As on the front axle, 22’’ forged wheels are used here, with 305 tires. The wheels’ matt-black finish always provides an attractive contrast to the car’s white paintwork.
Speaking of horses: on a stud farm in Weilerswist, an exciting video of the black variant of the Black Crystal was shot, which you can view at: http://bit.ly/1BycKxL. Read more »
