Re-cased Vintage Rolex Pocket Watch to Wrist Watch

I love vintage watches and often find myself browsing ebay and seeing whats for sale. I was browsing around and I saw this Rolex which I loved. I read the info and it said its a recased vintage pocket watch. Is this common? Anyone own one? Seriously considering this. Case sounds pretty big though.

Doesn't someone on here own a Hamilton that was repurposed in that same way? Way cool idea, makes for a super unique watch I think. Go for it!

I really like that. Is this a normal thing that I could have done to another watch. I have a older Rolex pocketwatch that a family member left me.

That's a really cool piece. Would definitely make for a unique watch to wear. Would probably be a good conversation piece as well. I would love it except 47mm without crown is too big for my little wrists. If you can pull off the size I say go for it!

I cant

When I read it I though it was 47 with the crown but 47 without is just too big. Would just look goofy but I love the watch. Can someone on here buy it so I can live vicariously though you? lol

I don't know much about this stuff but, doesn't it seem a little cheap to be a genuine vintage rolex time piece?

Its because isn't 100% Rolex. The face, hands, movement, strap, and clasp are but the case is aftermarket. That is also just the current bid. I assume it will go for more.
