This new guy started working at the office today, he will be replacing a good friend of mine who will be "daddy-free" as we call it in Sweden (company pays you to be home with your new born).

Anyway we get to talking and he seems like a really nice guy. I immediately spotted that he was wearing a Panerai but waited a bit untill I brought it up.

A few hrs later:
The new guy starts taking it off and hands it to me slowly while his hand is shaking! That's when I knew and I felt really bad for the guy!

As soon as it touched my hand I noticed that it was fake, all I said was "nice" :ugh:and quickly handed it back in disgust. I never told him what I just noticed, but I'm sure he felt real bad about it afterwards...

This guy really ruined his first impression, just because he was wearing that POS on his arm, without it he would still be a "really nice guy" now he just left me with a sour impression.

 

Yeah that qualifies as an awkward moment...so was he like posing with it or do you think he didn't even know it was a fake?

Neither, he wasn't flashy with it at all (as said he seems like a nice guy) but I'm pretty sure that he knew....

If you wear fake stuff like that you need to be ready to be called out on it. You did him a service. Maybe he'll think twice about his ways...

In most cases i agree, but i have a buddy who got one in Tokyo while there on business and he tells you right away that its fake and laughs about it and makes it funny. He is a super-humble guy that doesnt have much money so in his case i aint mad at him for rockin the fake Pan......but this dude at your work Felix made it bad by talking it up and pretending that it was real....that is WEAK!!
