I know most of you guys consider yourself to be conservatives, so here's my question, in the watch connoisseur world, why the hate for gold especially yellow gold and diamonds?

^Nothing wrong with gold on certain watches, the color doesn't look right on my wrist with my coloring.

IMHO, diamonds are to be worn only by women, and not on watches for men or women.

The pic posted has no green in it, no diamonds either. Just a nice gold/black AP with orange hands. Classic desirable watch, I don't see what the big deal is.

I don't consider myself a conservative, for instance I don't really like most Patek's because they're too formal/old mannish for my tastes But for me gold just has a cheese factor to it. Something you see fat italian guys in downtown vegas wearing.
