Business Watch

Hey all, I'm looking for a watch in the 2-4k area that is good to wear everyday to work with suits and something that can double as a watch for the night out as well. I like omegas but am not very educated when it comes to watches what are some good suggestions/your favorites?

It's funny because had you not mentioned omega, I would have recommended this anyways. The new omega aquaterra. This is a gorgeous watch, with in-house movement.

Kevin's IWC Pilot Auto is the best possible watch in that price range.

Thanks Dana!
Love my IWC. Prices went up (I think it's $4,700), but even so you should get a discount through an AD into the range you are looking. I have the black alligator strap version. I recommended the omega because it seems people prefer bracelet straps as opposed to leather. Personally, I can't stand bracelets.

That's a great looking watch. I have a Seamaster but might have to look into one of those.

can you change out those straps on that iwc or is it only the leather strap you have?

Yes, you can change the straps. I have the standard black alligator. I was going to change it; however, after wearing it for a few weeks fell in love with the pilot face contrasted against a dressier strap. They make an OEM bracelet model that supposedly has an amazing bracelet, but I don't like the link pattern.

Here is the thread from when I got my watch...

I think you are thinking of big pilot. Mine is a pilot chronograph. Different models.

still, LOVE yours
the 42mm is a definite advantage over the 46mm of the big pilot imo

so the rivet-ed strap will not fit?
