Toughest watch under $500

Any suggestions for an everyday watch that can handle: the gym, mountain biking, warehouse work?! Mine finally bit the bullet after 5yrs.

Other preferences would be metal band and shock resistant(it will get banged against steel quite often by accident).

For style I always like a chrono watch that looks military or F1 inspired! Does not have to be chrono tho!

G-Shock
Suunto

I wear one of these as my daily, every day. And I'm hard on watches.

Marathon SAR / GSAR Automatic or the TSAR

The Chrono is called CSAR, but thats over your budget. Search around you might get a nice deal. Try Ebay.

My MTB, beach, working in data center watch has always been a g-shock. They do make metal band models, but I'm a much bigger fan of the rubber as it lends itself better to not breaking when I fall off my bike for example. My current one updates nightly to an atomic clock and solar charges. Its $120.

I have this exact same watch. I also have the Black with black display version and I love it.

It is tough as nails and makes a great beater. It is a little large though but I like that.

CrazyTown is an unknown quantity at this point
From my personal experience I had that Suunto and was under impressed. Felt cheap to me and one of the more difficult negative displays to read IMO. Flipped 5 days later. That said, if you are looking at this type of watch I doubt anyone would argue that G-Shock King of All G's is probably the toughest watch in regular production.

Offered in multiple colors, I have this one:

Wasn't the Teamspeed lumtec about $500-$600? I really liked that watch.
