Nautical Themed Watch for a Retirement Present $1k????

Any suggestions on a nautical themed watch that would be a nice gift for a retirement present? Budget is $1k and they want to engrave the back if possible.

I can't think of any nautical themed watched to begin with off the top of my head.

I think that engraving is a bit tacky and limits your options a bit.

Is there any way they would forego the engraving??

I agree it's tacky...I'm not the one making the decision, I'm sure they would forgo it if need be.

Omega seamaster or aqua terra quartz should be right around $1k
