yes, it does remind you of an AP ROO. even the strap reminds you of the RBII's.
no, i do not see why that is wrong
on the contrary, it is a good thing i think

bezel looks incredibly prone to scratches as well

Everything is differently shaped and quite a bit different. That would be like saying a Rolex submariner and a Seiko Monster look the same because they both have a round rotating bezel and 4 lugs. Our case is all original in design. There are many watches with exposed screws and octagonal bezels
