1. what do you guys make of AP's decision to let go of the folding clasp on the 2011 models? i personally cannot understand it + not a fan at all (even before trying it, i already know)

2. can the 2011 models (white steel + black carbon/ceramic) be fitted with the straps of previous years?
e.g. can you get the "older" rubber strap with folding clasp and install it on the 2011 models?

*this is assuming that the 2011 strap itself cannot be fitted with the folding clasp*

Thank G-D the deployant was horrible and too long the new Tang is far better I have tried it on the Scuba and the GP

 

About time. Deployant clasps never fit anybody properly.

 

I tried the new strap on the scuba but I prefer the one on my rubber clad roo.

 

seems like i will have to reserve judgment then, but i'm really surprised to learn of anyone's discomfort with the current clasp!

as for the Diver, i dig the newer, cleaner look of the dial by losing the Arabic numerals. but don't see it standing a chance against a black themes chrono (unless i was a diver..)
