I would go online and search the serial number on timezone. If nothign came up, then I would report the serial number to Rolex and wait. I would not divulge that I had the watch or give it to anybody until I got the call back from them.

Just like finding any type of high end jewelry or item, serial numbers are a beautiful thing. I would secretly hope for a reward for myself, but I would not outwardly be hurt without one.
Telling everyone you have it is also the wrong thing to do, since someone might know something and falsely claim it is theirs.
I just had a sad thought writing that. I can't think of very many people I know that would do anything similar.
Do any of you know which city the watch was found in?
Thank you
Thank you
I would give it to the Police.
They have the best network of folks to find the owner.
If they don't find the owner for one-year in most states it is returned to the finder.
I could never keep it. Besides, Platinum watches are too damn heavy.

I asked bc a friend of my fiancees sister recently let go one of his secretaries. However, he is now missing an original Steve McQueen Explorer, a platinum rolex, and a few other items of sentimental value.Originally Posted by SoCal
