Panerai PAM253 1950 Flyback Regatta

I have an opportunity to buy a brand new PAM253 for $12,500. Is this a good deal? How well do limited edition PAM's hold their value in the long run? I've noticed that most of these limited edition PAM's go for above retail even on the used market. Is it normal to see prices increase over time on limited edition PAM's?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Wholsale on this piece (price a dealer would offer) is about 8500 and retail about 11K to 12K at the moment depending on condition. Also, I would venture to guess that it is not truly brand new, but rather a new strap and a polish.

Hope that helps.

And by the way, we have one piece left of the new 362 with the new movement if you are interested. Call for a discount.

I sold my 253 on TZ a few months back for $7,500 or so...bought it for roughly the same price a year earlier.
