I use a Daytona, a GMT master as my daily watches.

Agree on some of these guys "beater" watches. I beat the hell out of watches when I'm doing sports and can't imagine a rolex or AP. More power to you though.

I rock a g-shock at the gym, mountain biking, snowboarding, beach, boats, etc.... They cost next to nothing and are just bomb proof. I bought the one in the pic in '02 and its still around.

I've also got my just purchased eco-drive as my day to day casual watch.

^ Ha! I will bet you that my Rollie could take a worse beating than any sports watch! It's just a massively thick lump of steel made to survive a pressure of 3900 meters. And a scratch is just a polish away.

True dat, I pound the Explorer II. The Date is a 1969 so the crystal is not sapphire and can scratch so it's more of a Sunday unit. The others are for more of a business/night out.

Which is why you are the Sh*t dude. Still can't pull the psychological trigger on the Daytona. Yet.

Haha thanks. It's definitely worth it. Great watch that you can wear with almost anything to almost anywhere. When I travel for long periods of time and only want to bring one watch, that's the one I take. It also takes a beating pretty well. Hell I forgot to take it off when I was wake boarding the other day. It definitely needs a polish though.

I wouldn't be so worried about the case, but the crystal and internals. How shock resistant are they? For instance would they survive a fall on some boulders? I'm sure they could be repaired of course, but a g-shock is like $60.
