I've been in a fantasy football league for 10+ years w/ some really good friends. Next year we were thinking about upping the ante and buying a watch in witch the winner gets to wear until a new champion is crowned. We would like to keep the budget around $5500. I already have a Submariner (black face) and Panerai Luminor, however the consensus is a Rolex. Maybe a green anniversary? Any recommendations w/ price points would be appreciated.

If you want something unique look into a Linde Werdelin or a Bremont or even the Calibre de Cartier...

Do you guys all have a team that you cheer for, why not get something that you can associate with that team?

Ie; If my team were the Jets, then I would definitely go for a Rolex with a green bezel.

Sounds like a fun group, is the watch just going to stay as a prize perpetually, or will somebody a chance to win it "for keeps"?
