Suggestions for an everyday sport type watch?

I've got a career milestone test I'm working on and I've promised myself a nice watch after passing it. I'd like something I can wear every day and I'm an active/outdoor type of guy who also does professional work.

I like the black face chronograph style watches and would like something with a rubber strap so it doesn't look too formal for everyday t-shirt/jeans wear. I also love Ti for the light weight. Any suggestions in the 1-2k range?

Here are some style examples:

Honestly, I'd recommend you to avoid Tag - I've just seen too many things go wrong with them. I owned one; stress on the past tense. One of my work colleagues had a Tag that had a push-button fall off every year like clock-work - it was the "reminder" to get the watch serviced.

Gobbles, that was so wrong. He's walking around the casino he works at showing it off to everyone.

Sorry bro. Couldn't help myself. I am ridiculously hard on watches (scratches, etc.) so I've never bothered looking at something of any real value.

Good luck with the search though!

Heh heh, there is payback coming for that guy. He bought the same car as me a few months back too.

Get a good Omega. I've got a couple of Seamasters (300m Professional and Planet Ocean). They are very durable, hold time well, and are respectable without being obnoxious. Much better quality than TAGs (I owned 3-4 TAGs in the past).

That is usually the worst budget to recommend a watch in, because it gets you significantly more than the average Citizen, TW Steel or whatever but it's a bit of a stretch to get up to the really desirable brands. I am gonna go ahead and be the biggest bore of the century and tell you to hold off until you want to spend 2-3K on decent brand. And you don't want to go around telling people how you "rewarded yourself with a Tag", which is sort of like rewarding yourself with a punch in the face.
