Why are Watches set to 10:10?

Why are Watches set to 10:10?
It seems in all pictures that I see of watches the time is set to 10:10.

Why is this?

I have never paid attention to this?

edit: weird, just went and googled tag, panerai and a few other brands, appears this is how nearly every manufacturer shows off their watches. It balances the face and does not cover any complications was my guess -- and most importantly (google verified) is that it displays the brand name.

I shoot for a watch company and there reason is so you see the name of the brand.

it actually just happens to be the time that every watch was photographed. it's a very weird coincidence but really just that. a coincidence
