There is a long winded back-story to how we met the owner / founder Mike Kobold, but suffice to say that my wife and I have become friends of Mike and of the Kobold watch company.
This will make my 4th Kobold and it is special as the dial is ( as close as possible to ) Guards Red. The current band is natural leather but a custom Black Alligator/ Red stitch band is en route. This will perfectly match my Turbo.
There is, to my knowledge, only 1 other Red Spirit of America, but it is in the 41 mm version, not 44 mm, also it is not stamped with " Pittsburgh, PA" on the case. Obviously it is very cool to have a friend / watch maker right here in Pittsburgh.

the watch is in and it's my favorite of the bunch. still waiting on the return of my camera ( my mother "borrowed it" to take pics of the kids at xmas) for some macro shots
