I am scouring the net and Paneristi sites at the moment looking for one. I may just go with a 176, because it is very simple, doesn't have a bushed case, and is titanium. That is a plus for me, since I am SO hard on my watches. We shall see...

Stryke has a PAM 183 for sale. It is the radiomir series and is just beautiful. Falls under your price range too.

I wish I had enough money that I could spend more than 5K on a watch :S

The 176 does have a brushed case and we have it in stock. Also, we sold our 183 but have a new 210. I have many options in stock right now. If you want to discuss please call me directly for assistance.

SoCal, I love the 176 but I went with the 111H, I am hard on watches too...just had the 111 serviced (after 5yrs of owning) and it came back looking brand new...not sure if you can do that with the brushed case or not.
My 194 is in for service (big problems with this watch) it has a brushed case, it will be interesting to see how it looks once its back.

(Sidenote...if anyone is running the rubber strap on their Panerai, make sure you check it regularly for cracks, mine 194 almost fell off my wrist!)
