i asked my AD if i could swap out my steel for leather and he said no way...what gives?

The strap he has on there now is a fabric NATO strap. I am not familiar how the metal strap is connected onto the head, but all you need is spring bars for the NATO to work.

My brother has a watch setup that looks remarkably like this one (I know its not the same) but it looks perfect when hes out on the boat in flip flops and a board shorts.

Casual but elegant. Noice.
