Quality watch brands - Between $100 and $400

Let's see how good your knowledge of watches overall are. I'm looking for a watch for the soon to be wifey. Tissot has a nice Ballade III in the price range. However, beyond that brand, I'm not too sure what else has a quality built.
(see link

My only experience has been with a Tissot Seastar 660, which has been great and still works wonderful.

Tips? Tricks? Gil, what do you have in that range? I browsed your site quickly but was overwhelmed a bit.

I really like my Nixon a lot. I think it was like 300. I had a problem with my first one and I sent it back like 5 years later and they sent me a new one for free.

I've had a lot of problems with my Hamilton, for what it's worth.

I've got a Khaki Automatic (was like 385 or so).

There are many quality watch bands under $400. Some of the more exotic materials like shark skin or ostrich run a bit more but most are between $150 to $300.

Hamilton FTW: Love em. Great old school styled watches.

I've got a couple of Invicta's that I don't worry about knocking around daily.
