GMT Master II

"They are for dudes with NO sense of style, fashion or individuality."

Oh well, but I like it.

My AD had one on display a couple of weeks ago, but I passed on it. Then another one came in, I snapped it up this time. I like the complications of the GMT, I like how the ceramic bezel almost looks like black chrome under bright light, and the ROLEX text around the edges of the face.

Nice pick up jim. Also, the background on your watch pics often have interesting art work. Is it your work?

Thanks. Watches are not the only thing I collect. If I get the chance I like to photograph a new watch in front of different work of art. The piece is a Bob Dob original graphite on paper, named "The Fallen".

I would have never guessed Bob Dob. Quite different from the works I've seen. Very cool. You should post some more of your collection or pm some pics to me.

His paintings are really neat, but good luck getting one. However he skecthes many of his paintings before he actually does one, and I have got my hands on some of the sketches.

I am waiting on getting some things framed and I'll snap some pix, I like Adam Strange, Glenn Barr, Coop, Bob Dob and some local Chicago artists.

this applies to people who buy them for the mere idea of being "blingy" and showing off... we buy the rolex because its a great built product and even if it said "jimmy Bob" on the dial or w/e we'd still buy it.. my GMT for sure is the only piece in my collection that after 30 years would hold up...

looks good, enjoy it!

Well put, my other GMT (red/black bezel) I wear fairly regularly, really nice for travelling and I like the complications. Really a solid watch, this will get some use for sure. A keeper.

Timeless watch its about as much prestige and respect you can get from a Watch, in some countries a Rolex is considered to be worth more than their currencies in developing countries.

Basically if I was going to compare it standing to a car, it has to be a Black S600 its about that respect you get. Luxury and simplicity in one package and not looking to flamboyant like the newer watches such as the likes of Hublot and Audemars Piguet.
