Yeah it's sporting the 9300, really a great movement, nice decoration, silicium hairspring, column wheel and great functionality.
You're right though, the watch is too big (for my tastes), especially considering its historic roots. Not only is the diameter large, but the thickness is substantial (per most chronographs in the price range). I have it on good authority that a pre-pro speedy re-issue may be on the way, complete with hand wound movement.
If you like modern watches though, and want a handsome chrono, this is a great option. The look really does capture the spirit of the original, I love the dual registers without losing both hour and minute recording abilities. If you forget the watch's past for a moment, this new Speedy really is a gem at this price point.
