Looks like a pocket watch conversion to me... Interested to hear the story behind that piece.

Haha, good guess. I know that the only PP that was ever that large had to be a pocket watch. I just bought a "Vintage" Hamilton that is 46 mm, and it too was a pocket watch conversion that used the original movement and dial- both refurbed, and then put into an after market case. Very nice Mark!

At 52mm it just might be big enough for you.
