This was the first "fine" watch that I ever acquired. I was in law school and had been scouring the Internet for weeks looking for a used model. I was obsessed with it. But I just couldn't find one in the condition I wanted for a reasonable price. Then one night I came home late from the library and my wife was still up. She usually turns in early so I knew something was up. She went into our closet and came out with a wrapped box. It was a brand new blue dial sub - just like the one Stryke has above! I have added nearly a dozen watches to my collection since then - many of which make the sub look inexpensive. But this watch will always mean a lot to me.

My mother gave me a black dial sub when I graduated from law school. I kept both the blue and the black. They are great to alternate with different suits and ties.

This is the very best watch to start off a great collection with IMHO.
