What is the consensus on Luminox watches? I need something durable to wear out on the rig and my previous watch for this duty is giving out.

 

Lumtec Tungsten. Toughest watch I've ever owned and looks like a Panerai. I have had mine buried in mud, in salt water, banged it while working on cars, etc and it doesn't show a scratch. Buy one and put a NATO band on it and they will bury you in it.

 

Remember the tag you showed interest a few months ago? One just popped up local to me. Going to look at it tonight. Might grab it if I can get it sub$800

Dude, if you get that for under $800, you are either buying a STOLEN watch, or it is a FAKE. Be careful on this deal brother; something doesn't seem right.

 

It's craigslist. I asked for full documentation, as well as meeting me at a TAG dealer and the guy had no problems with it. Working cellphone number, email from a business account as well.

I'm wary at this point only because its cutting into my Speedmaster fund.

(BTW - I passed on the re-issue, as the guy wouldn't budge from his asking, and I've decided that I'm going to wait for a ~1986 Vintagem or a cal. 321 version.)
