SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
I have checked it out and had it on my wrist a few times in Tourneau and other watch boutiques, and it isn't my favorite. If I found one for the right price, I might get it, but I doubt I would wear it much... And then I would just sell it to BigE.

I'm a big fan of the omega speedmaster pro. My one hang up was the size, my other that some use a plastic crystal. Well ever since seeing this article on the new tribute model I have been contemplating adding this to my collection, I want a manual wind chrono in the worst way, I'd even trade my iwc if I had to. Well, everything was looking goods, 39.4 mm, classic layout, sapphire crystal... Then I looked some more and it has solid case back. I would want to see the manual chrono movement! Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until I'm 50 and get a ALS 1815 chrono

What do you guys think of this one? 42mm x 14 is like my pilot chrono. I have been wanting a proper bracelet watch because I see how people like them so much, I'd give it a try. Plus, I can always put a strap on, right? Also, should I care that this has a non-in house movement and the automatic has in house? This place is a bad influence.

Kev- IMO the smp is the quintessential chrono. The 3510.50 is my favorite variant. They look great on bracelet or strap.

I'm wearing that exact watch right now.
Great looks, great size, great movement (that you can see) and no fussing with day/date if you let it wind down.
IMO it is perfect. Do it.

edit: forgot to mention the bracelet is the best. It's the only watch I've ever liked wearing with the bracelet.
