Yes the large ones are very big. My wife actually liked the Vegas/Roulette wheel one but I would have never worn it. The one I had on actually had a great color but it wasn't crazy hours and I wanted to pay sub 10k for the piece. Thought they were 1500 high so I walked away. The Vegas was above 20k

The thing with Frank Muller (as far as I know) is he keeps going in and out of rehab and the loony bin, and it's really effecting the company. A couple of dealers have said to me that the after service is really hit and miss because of this.

Interesting reason to stay away. I already have a piece that has to go back to France about every 2 years. It's Punny he is in the loony bin making Crazy Hour watches.

I always thought the Franck Muller watches looked cool. Checked out some of the watches on his website and I really like this, but I guess it is HUGE (like 48x63):

Very large. I feel comfortable with a lot of mid 40mm watches and it felt like it spanned my entire wrist.

Fellas - mr muller has nothing to do with that company any longer - and for a long time. Vartan Samerkis (sp??) owns the brand along with many others that operate out of watchland, the corporate factory. Suposidly, sirmakes is moving a lot of the production to his home country - Romania or Ukraine - I don't know exactly - I'll check.

Personally, I'd be more than happy to recommend many many other watches that have far better engines than what are currently put in the FM case and dial.

Franck Muller, the watchmaker, the man, is arguably one of the greatest of our time. It's a shame what money and fame can do.

After spending a few paychecks on new/slightly used watches in January, I think March will bring me something vintage.

Perhaps a nice Seamaster?

or Longines

Can anyone recommend something in the $600-$950 range?

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
I would go with either of those. Just look on those sites I linked above, and check them once or twice a day if you are really after something special and vintage.

Oh I do.
Starting around mid december I setup Safari as my "watch browser". Every time i open it up, it auto loads TZ, WUS, CL, WN and PMWF.

I browse every morning and every evening.
