You guys must have gone to a bad Chipotle. I've heard there are good ones and bad ones. The one near my house is perfect every time I go. I love a $50 huge bone-in ribeye at the best steak house in town but for the money, a steak burrito at Chiptole for $6 can't be beat. Seriously.

I guess sometimes I want a burger from McDonalds even though I could go to The Counter or Father's Office so I see the appeal with Chipotle. To each his own.

I'm actually VP of operations for the SE. Anyway, i'm not saying it's the best authentic mexican food beacuse it's FAR from it. But for a chain (burrito concept) it is much better than Moe's Southwest Grill, Qdoba, or Baja Fresh.
Btw, in LA for a Burger Apple Pan (on Pico) is a good choice.

I love me the Chipotle. In MN, there aren't a lot of good, cheap places to get Mexican. You either go to a sit down restaurant, Chipotle, or Taco Bell. For the price, quantity and quality of food, Chipotle gets my vote every time. I usually get a fajita burrito with carnitas, tomatoes, corn, medium salsa, sour cream and cheese. Add a side of chips and guac on the side and you're good to go for under $10.
