I'd rather buy a million candy bars (or better yet, something healthy) and pass them out to as many poor children as I could find. It'd be a much more memorable and rewarding experience than going to Abu Dhabi for a week.

Or I'd just spend it on hookers and blow. Whatever.

Hmmmm......some gaudy palace in Abu Dabi with a bunch of day trips to make shit for my house or......

a massive yacht full of really hot hookers and mounds of blow, and take home a few exotic cars as souveniers......thats more like it.

I remember in the 90's when I was working on Wall St. one of my fellow brokers went with his wife on a 1 week cruise that was only open to like 30 couples and it was 100K per couple for the week. No one understood why he would spend it but he ended up making more money as a result of the contacts he made on the cruise than the cruise cost him in the first month of coming back.

Many expensive things don't make sense on the surface but turn out to be a wise investment. I remember when I bought my Lambo and went out on a run and met a fellow Lambo owner who turned out to be one of my best clients. His business paid for the car in the first few months after I met him.

makes no sense......I guess it is tailored to the person that is too lazy to plan a trip themselves or even have a travel agent do it

It's true. Sometimes these things turn out to be good investments if used as business tools. There's always more than meets the eye.
