Greek Island recommendtions?

I don't have much to contribute on where you should go, but I know of the Islands you should avoid. Or rather, where most of the 15-25 year old euro trash goes to party. While it can be nice in the right setting, it doesn't sound like the goal of your trip is to foam-bathe with drunk 17 year old Norwegian girls.
So I would suggest visiting some of the least exploited and touristy ones, ruling out pretty much all of the Dodekanese islands.

I've been to Mykonos and agree with the comment above that it has a great combination of fantastic beaches, great restaurants, nice hotels and great nightlife. There are a lot of gays but you actually rarely see them since they have their own beaches. Jox could tell you where they are.
