Suggestions for Thailand?

Anyone with suggestions for great hotels, resorts etc in Thailand. Mainly Bangkok, Hua Hin and Koh Samui. Would really appreciate all input I can get.

Recommendations for restaurants worth mentioning would be appreciated as well.

Best regards,
Janne

I'm going to Thailand in August.

Decided on the Peninsula Bangkok. Considered the Oriental, but the consensus is that it's tired and caters to an older crowd. Since I'm 28, people say the Peninsula is the way to go.

Also doing 3 nights at the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. Easily the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed at, it's all inclusive and is supposed to be one of the best tented camp experiences in the world.

Finishing with 3 nights in Phuket at Trisara. Much newer and supposedly better than Banyan Tree & Amanpuri.

Hey Janne,

Ive been 5 times to Huahin. It depends what you want? Whats your price range?

If your looking for a good time and right downtown I recommend sofitel hotel.
The hilton is crap so dont go for it.

I was on honeymoon in january in koh samui. Very nice hotel: napasai hotel.
Its 20 mins with cab to the night life and shopping area. I would not reccomend the hotel if your going with your mates and having a good time. Then I would reccomend something in chaweng area. Then you wouldnt need the cab for anything except getting back to the airport.
If you stay in chaweng then choose a hotel from the north side of town.

best regards,
Mika Mujunen
