Need a Restaurant in Paris.

Hey guys! Sorry for short notice. I need a couple of good restaurant recommendations for Dinner 5/28 or 5/29 in Paris. We are headed there for 9 days with the Kids and Nanny. It's for our Anniversary dinner. I don't expect a Michelin 3 star restaurant, just something that would be typical French, Cozy and Romantic.

We are staying near the Champs-Elysées but I guess it doesn't really matter.

Any Recs?

Le Cinq is a must, and right in your neck of the woods. Enjoy your anniversary!

btw, the regional forums on Chowhound Boards - Chowhound are to food snobbery, as TS is to high end cars.

Many exceptional dining choices in Paris, and lots of recommendations from serious foodies on chowhound. If you need anything further, feel free to ask and I'll see what I can dig up.

You could try to get in to Frenchie, but they usually book 1-2 months in advance. I couldn't get in when I was last there but have always wanted to check it out. There's a "day in the life" video on the site, can't get any more "market to table" than that.

God I love Paris. Best city on earth if you can afford it.

Frenchie Restaurant

if you go to the bar next door, it's the exact same food. or you can drink at the bar, put yourself on the waiting list, & you'll get a table in 1-2 hours.

i don't have many picks for middle-tier (septime, spring, sauternes are making waves these days but they are bare-bones casual environment w/ very good food)

I would go to the place at the Eiffle Tower - great view and a bit of fun

If you have any issues getting a table call Amex since I know they have reserved tables

for the anniversary dinner (assuming it's the two of you), i'd do Pierre Gagnaire - 3*, walking distance, one of the best restaurants in the world

Thanks guys. Couldn't get in to Frenchie on our Anniversary night. We had Dinner at Le Cinq instead. It was an great experience. I wouldn't call it quite a 5 star food but it was great. Most importantly my wife loved it.

Btw... As we were walking into the Four Seasons my wife noticed a large crowd outside(people waiting to see famous people and French Open stars I guess) and She said "There is long line, we might not get in".

Thanks AdamC... I owe you one!
