Food pictures from my trips to Asia
Haven't had time to go through pictures from all the phones, and finally had a chance to download some.
First batch here is from a Japanese restaurant at the Shangrila Taipei. Yes, they have halibut and salmon still swimming in the tank as pictured here.
The sashimi platter.
The soft shell crab roll.
Kobe beef which baby scud ate most of when I was distracted taking pictures of the sashimi and the fish tank.

At the Bangkok Paragon food court of all places. Amazing stuff, wish I can get them close to this in LA.
Tom Yum noodle soup
Chicken rice. Yes, the famous chicken rice example I have used many times here. This tasty dish.

At a small Italian restaurant in Taipei. I feel bad for them that they had to remind their Taiwanese customers that the risotto rice is "chewy" since Taiwanese people do not like chewy rice.
Risotto with almost raw beef, loved it.
Clam pasta. Baby scud ate all the clam and most of the pasta.
Oyster risotto.

So funny you mention Paragon. When I went with my family (who are native to Chiang Mai), we loved the food so much that we went back to Paragon almost everyday we were in Bangkok. In fact, we spent so much time there that I discovered the car dealership (yes, inside a mall) and toured the aquarium. Good times!

MK Suki in Bangkok, how I wish they have them here. I can eat there every meal.
The Thai style suki
The sweet and spicy dipping sauce
A suki meal is not complete without some Thai style roasted duck.

Did you check out the private movie theater? If you didn't, you need to next time.
