My Sushi Experiences
#22
How funny, I ate at Kenji USA for the first time yesterday. Fellow forum member and sushi nut dphouse called and insisted I try it out. Him and his fiance moved with Kenji to his new location as well. It met expectation, but I had eaten such a big meal before, I didn't get to sample everything I normally would have.
I did not know the kabuki in northridge was not affiliated with the others. The one on Ventura Blvd. by my house is garbage. I've heard of go's mart, but have yet to try it. Maybe this week some time.

Man I guess I'm not the sushi eater I thought I was. All of those dishes in Mark's pictures look absolutely vomit inducing to me.
Not trying to be annoying or rude, but whole pregnant smelt, octopus, squid, mackerel, and sea urchin are NOT my idea of a good meal.
Perhaps one day I will learn how to eat....

josh this is the one on reseda blvd. in northridge. this place is independently owned and not associated with the other kabuki restaurants. fwiw, i've tried the kabuki on ventura and it sucks. if the other stores are part of this chain, i would stay away.
if you want someplace in hollywood, try sushi ryo on highland and santa monica. it's a hole in the wall with only about 6 seats, but it is very good.
