W hotel in Times Square

First time out and was thinking about staying here. Can anyone tell if this is a good place to stay? As far as, close to most major activities...

I'm also open to other places that might be cool to stay at. Definitely looking for upscale, but not stuffy. I'll pass on the Trump stuff, St. Regis, etc..

It might just be me, but I would not recommend staying in Times Square.

w in times square is a great hotel stay there you'll like it. It's close to a lot of touristy stuff and the hotel has a great lobby which doubles as a nice lounge.

If you want touristy stuff then stay in timesquare. but if you want another W, stay at the one on lexington across from the waldorf astoria.
