Sounds like a good trip. Germany is a beautiful country. I did the European Delivery for the Mercedes and had a blast driving from Stuttgart to Baden-Baden, through the black forest/alps to Austria and back to Munich. The view was breathtaking. I went 120mph on the right lane and a couple of Porsche's flew by me like I was standing still. I was breaking in my new car so I didn't want to rev it. No limits speed is only a few stretches of the highway far away from the city. Once you get close to any city, you will see speed limit signs.

 

I can't do the trip due to obvious reasons, but if you guys are planning a trip to the Nürburgring I could totally hop down for a day. It's only a 2 1/2 hr drive from where I live.

 

Same here. It's only about 150km from Frankfurt, so if you guys know when you'll be visiting the Green Hell shoot me a PM or post it here !

 

Too bad it's not a month earlier. I'm pretty sure I'll be in Frankfurt for the IAA in september Sinan I'll see you there if it works out.

Thanks a lot. We have a friend who lives in Stuttgart who shows us right where the unrestricted parts of the highway are ....and hopefully we will be those Porsches flying past people in the right lane . Why dont you join us!?

As for the Green Hell/Ring visit. Its in the cards --- not 100% but it might happen. If it does, i will surely post up here!!!

 

Would love to join but don't have enough time off. I'm expecting a baby soon so, I need time off, going to a wedding in Oct, going to LA for another wedding in Dec, taking that time off to drive from LA to Mountain View to visit my brother. Wife is already planning a trip to Hawaii in Feb. No time vacation time left. Do take a lot of pictures and enjoy.

 

I was lucky enough to be one of a few here selected to do this trip at the end of August on behalf of one of our vendors. I'm very excited. I plan to take lots of pics!
