LA to San Fran road trip help

I'm in LA until Sunday and we'll be renting a car to drive to San Fran. I was thinking of taking the PCH instead of interstate 5

And experience with that? Is it worth the extra drive time and how long is the PCH compared to the i5?

Any stories and tips are welcomed

Great drive but VERY long! Have done it many times, just be careful and pass with caution!

Ya give or take! It's beautiful, just can be rough on those who get car sick. Lots of beautiful stops along the way though!

I plan to do the same drive myself except going the other way. Let me know how you like the drive.

Get a rental with some power.

Otherwise, if you get stuck behind slow pokes on many parts of the PCH, it will literally add a few hours to your drive.

The last time we did the drive we had the GT2, and we can get around the slow pokes easily. It was funny to watch them realized what just happened and flick their highbeams at you when you are almost a quarter mile in front of them.

If you have the time, I recommend it. A+ on stukas advice - it's better to have some oomph. One thing I would add, try and plan to reach San Francisco outside rush hour times.

Well made the trip. Faster than I thought actually, only 6 hours. Some nice views of course but also plenty of boring stints

In San Fran now. Weird city lol

They are outlawing circumcision for babies, teaching kids that there are more than 2 genders, etc.
